Day 157 of 362

Random check: One hundred fifty-seven days of resolution minus one day for tattoo recovery equals one hundred fifty-six days of doing this whole "dress-up" thing. 156/362 = 43.0939226519337% of the goal achieved. No, I won't make 100%, but I can still get damn close.

Getting an actual early start to the day, but mostly because I have a LOT on my plate for today. It'll actually slow down for me once the store opens up. Casual MtG and Gregghawk D&D require very little from me in terms of attention. If everything falls right, I'll get a chunk of reading done for my Deathwatch game this Thursday when "the Price of Hubris" (part one of the Emperor Protects) continues. That is... if the Keystone Space Marines don't blow themselves up first.

Later... GopherDave

  1. Hey, you're percentage is going to be great, Dave. It's definitely better than what you'll see at most other gaming stores.

  2. Well, yeah Steve...

Just holding myself up to other game stores would be easy, though. I striving for a higher standard than that.

The more I look at it, the more I view what I'm doing as a stand against the "casualization" of our society.

Of course, I'm half crazy, so what do I know?

  3. "Casualization"

Bah. Suits & ties are for the birds... well the penguins at least.

In all seriousness, your efforts show you are a professional in the environment you're in. The added bonus is that you get to reap the benefits of being more well-dressed game store owner (i.e. people know you mean business), and you get to feel good about it too! Where is the problem here? I don't see one.
